Biography

I am a 2nd-year TBSN Class of 2026 student in the UW–Madison School of Nursing and a Posse Scholar from Los Angeles, California, but I am originally from the Philippines. My clinical experiences consist of Rehab/Assisted living, and the Respiratory General/IMC unit. However, my interest in nursing also expands from research, mental health, pediatrics, labor and delivery, and the OR—all of which I hope to explore in my time as an undergraduate and in becoming a nurse. My passion for research originated in high school, thanks to various research experiences. Now, I am part of the School of Nursing’s Honors Research Program under Dr. Montgomery’s Lab, where I aim to deepen my understanding and skills in research. Attending a study abroad in Ireland for Nursing Research this summer of 2025 was a highlight for me, focusing on health systems strengthening, global health, and the use of evidence to shape equitable, patient-centered care. Looking ahead, I have an interest in pursuing a PhD in Nursing. As I continue to explore my interests and passions, I am committed to making a positive impact in the nursing and healthcare field by bridging clinical care and research to improve patient outcomes and the health system. I also have a love for the arts, specifically in music—I sing here and there, and I play the piano, guitar, ukulele, and have some experience with the flute. I love being around the people I love, creating many memories, and just having a fun time! I never had a pet, but I would love to have one, and if I could, I would love to have a corgi!
