Biography

I am an Associate Professor and the Florence Blake Professor of Child-Family Nursing at the UW–Madison School of Nursing. I received my BA in health promotion from the University of Iowa and an MS and PhD in nursing from UW–Milwaukee. I have over a decade of practice and research experience, caring for children and adolescents with cancer and blood disorders and investigating topics important to patients and families and the pediatric oncology field. I teach courses in the graduate (DNP and PhD) and undergraduate (TBSN) nursing programs. I also mentor students and healthcare professionals in research and leadership. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, coaching youth soccer, and spending time outdoors.
